Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Facilities) to design, analyze, and activate world‑class fluid and HVAC systems across the campus. You will perform CAD modeling, run fluid analyses, and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable transitions to manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 1+ years with fluid components; preferred candidates may have NX CAD experience and strong GD&T understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years with valves, pumps, heat exchangers or similar.
• Experience with fluid/HVAC components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead fluid/HVAC components across campus.
• Perform CAD modeling and design of systems.
• Conduct fluid analyses for pressure balance and component design.
• Collaborate with production, avionics, and other SpaceX programs.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and transition to production.
• Support material selection, sizing, and procurement.
