Position: HVAC Facilities Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Facilities Mechanic with a background in healthcare, commercial, or industrial settings. The facilities department ensures systems operate smoothly to support our patients and staff. To be considered immediately, please email your resume to jakebaird@coh.org.

Responsibilities:
  1. Install and repair equipment according to applicable building and safety codes.
  2. Assist other Engineering shops to complete work projects on schedule.
  3. Provide services related to Engineering Trades such as A/C, Autoclave, Carpentry, Electrical, Garage, Lock, Paint, Plumbing, and Preventive Maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required; additional experience may substitute for education. College or Trade school preferred.
  • At least 5 years of applicable crafts experience, including a minimum of 2 years in HVAC, electrical, autoclave, locksmith, plumbing, advanced carpentry, or advanced painting trades.
  • Certification or proficiency in 3 or more trades, with at least one including HVAC, electrical, autoclave, plumbing, locksmith, advanced carpentry, or advanced painting. Other trades include carpentry, painting, Maintenance Repair Rounds (MR.R), or automotive mechanics.
  • Valid CA driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Master level skills are preferred.
  • Trade certification is preferred.
Additional Information:

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

City of Hope offers pay based on work experience, qualifications, and location.
