Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids is seeking a skilled facilities technician to maintain hospital utilities, equipment and environmental systems, ensuring patient-centered care and a safe, reliable environment. You will complete and facilitate work orders, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, coordinate with staff and contractors, and mentor junior mechanics.

A valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and a journeyman certificate are preferred; 5+ years of experience

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a related maintenance role.
• Journeyman level program certificate or equivalent preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required.

Responsabilidades

• Complete and facilitate basic and complex work orders and Preventative Maintenance.
• Coordinate with staff and contractors, reporting to Lead/Facilities Supervisor.
• Test and document regulated items and report status to Lead.
• Mentor Mechanic II and act as resource for system expertise.
• Follow safety guidelines and design improvements for systems.
