Job summary
Live! Casino & Hotel is seeking a Facilities Mechanic to maintain outdoor areas across the property, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and Team Members.
You will perform routine landscaping, debris removal, and operate equipment in line with standards. The role includes a swing part-time schedule (3:00pm–12:00am) and requires the ability to work in a high‑energy casino setting with 24/7 operations and variable weather.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0 to 2 years’ experience with grounds keeping and/or outdoor maintenance of a commercial property/facility.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Responsibilities
- Cutting, weeding, edging grass, raking leaves, sweeping parking lots and garage.
- Planting, removing, relocating plants, flowers, trees and bushes.
- Removing trash and debris from parking lot areas; emptying trash containers.
- Operate and maintain equipment like trucks, utility vehicles, pavement sweepers and scrubbers, pressure washers and litter vacuums.
- Ensure signs, posts, and fences are straight and secure.
- Maintain outdoor spaces as clean, safe, and well‑maintained.
- Available for weather events such as snow removal or other storms.
- Assist with internal logistics and maintenance as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

This role plays a critical part in preserving the operational integrity of the grounds by performing routine landscaping, debris removal, and equipment operation in accordance with established standards. Shift: Swing Part-Time 3:00pm-12:00pm
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Responsible for cutting, weeding, and edging the grass, raking the leaves, and sweeping the parking lots, and garage.
- Responsible for planting, removing, and relocating plants, flowers, trees, and bushes.
- Removing all trash and debris from parking lot areas and grounds. Emptying trash containers.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as trucks, utility vehicles, pavement sweepers and scrubbers, pressure washers, litter vacuums, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring all signs, posts, and chain fences are straight and secure.
- Responsible to ensure all outside areas are clean, orderly, safe, and are at the highest level of maintenance at all times.
- Must be available for weather events such as snow removal or other storms.
- May be called upon and assigned from time to time to assist with internal logistics and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Zero (0) to two (2) years’ experience with grounds keeping and or outdoor maintenance of a commercial property/facility.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and or push up to 80 lbs.
- Standing for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Work in small, confined areas.
- Frequent bending at the waist.
- Use of stairs and elevators
Working Conditions:
- 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
