Job summary
Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking a Facilities Mechanic to maintain the exterior areas of the property, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and Team Members. You will perform routine landscaping, debris removal, and operate grounds equipment in line with our standards.
Shift is Day 7:00am–4:00pm. Compensation is USD $16.00 per hour with union dues where applicable. You will plant, weed, edge grass, remove trash, and help with weather events, parking areas, and

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0–2 years' grounds keeping or outdoor maintenance experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Maryland gaming license.
Responsibilities
- Cut, weed, and edge grass; rake leaves; sweep parking areas and garages.
- Plant, remove, relocate plants, trees, and shrubs.
- Remove trash and debris; empty trash containers.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as trucks, sweepers, pressure washers, and scrubbers.
- Ensure signs, posts, and fences are straight and secure.
- Keep exterior areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Be available for weather events (snow removal, storms).
- Assist with internal logistics and maintenance as needed.

Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Responsible for cutting, weeding, and edging the grass, raking the leaves, and sweeping the parking lots, and garage.
- Responsible for planting, removing, and relocating plants, flowers, trees, and bushes.
- Removing all trash and debris from parking lot areas and grounds. Emptying trash containers.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as trucks, utility vehicles, pavement sweepers and scrubbers, pressure washers, litter vacuums, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring all signs, posts, and chain fences are straight and secure.
- Responsible to ensure all outside areas are clean, orderly, safe, and are at the highest level of maintenance at all times.
- Must be available for weather events such as snow removal or other storms.
- May be called upon and assigned from time to time to assist with internal logistics and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to:
- Read, write, and understand simple instructions.
- Use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions.
- Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness.
- Pay attention to the needs of guests and team members at all times.
- Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment.

- High aptitude for learning.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Zero (0) to two (2) years’ experience with grounds keeping and or outdoor maintenance of a commercial property/facility.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
- Lift and or push up to 80 lbs.
- Standing for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Work in small, confined areas.
- Frequent bending at the waist.
- Use of stairs and elevators
- 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
Please note that this is a union position, and individuals in this role may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.
