Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversees facilities, including maintenance, custodial, and repair work.
2. Maintains accurate records for room use and class loads.
3. Meets with the corporate office to ensure facilities information is up to date and repairs are made as needed.
4. Reviews all contractual agreements and warranties to ensure proper operation of machinery.
5. Coordinates building repair and maintenance activities.
6. Examines the building regularly for repairs and maintenance needs.
7. Meets with cleaning companies to ensure contractual obligations are met.
8. Ensures copier equipment is operational and paper supplies are sufficient.
9. Schedules necessary maintenance meetings.
10. Processes audio/visual needs and distributes materials accordingly.
11. Maintains phones and radios.
12. Arranges locker cleanup and maintenance at year-end.
13. Coordinates transportation for school trips.
14. Schedules fire drills with the fire department.
15. Assists in campus security and control practices.
16. Maintains HVAC systems.
17. Manages key inventory and alarm systems.
18. Confirms fire evacuation routes are clear throughout the facility.
19. Reviews the Master Calendar regularly for facility and custodial needs during scheduled events.
20. Coordinates facility cleanup after school events with custodial staff.
21. Prepares for summer school opening timelines.
22. Oversees daily opening and closing of school facilities.
23. Assesses equipment obsolescence in consultation with the corporate office.
24. Sets maintenance priorities and sequences work accordingly.
25. Develops preventive maintenance programs.
26. Establishes emergency repair systems.
27. Implements programs to reduce vandalism, theft, and arson.
28. Develops property safeguarding systems.
29. Maintains security and locking systems.
30. Inspects buildings and grounds regularly.
31. Conducts annual fire and tornado drills, maintaining logs.
32. Manages flag raising and lowering procedures.
33. Supervises custodial services.
34. Collaborates with local police on security issues.
35. Coordinates transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and support services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Medium work: ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for up to six hours continuously.
• Ability to perform tasks involving stooping, reaching, and bending; dexterity for handling objects.
• Ability to smell, taste, and feel to assess food quality.
• Work with chemicals, both caustic and non-caustic.
• Handle interruptions and supervise multiple tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• May work around loud noises.
• Work primarily indoors.
• May work in hot environments.
