Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Residences New York Fifth Avenue is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to lead the residence engineering team and oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.

You will manage annual CAPEX, budgets, energy consumption, vendor contracts, and compliance, ensuring exceptional service for residents while aligning with MOHG standards and safety protocols. The role requires strong leadership and a track record in luxury property environments.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years in engineering studies (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Environmental).
• A minimum of 5–10 years in engineering management.
• A minimum of 5–10 years in development and managing a luxury property.
• Excellent knowledge of major building systems (MEP).
• Excellent knowledge of pool management, energy management.
• Ability to conduct training of basic engineering systems.
• Coordinate with multiple tasks and develop a financial budget.
• Strong vendor contacts for MEP and appliance repairs.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the residence engineering staff and day-to-day operations of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Oversee shared areas and all mechanical equipment for the residences and Master Association.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and CAPEX budgets.
• Ensure compliance with FLHSS/Audit requirements and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with Master Association and executives on projects and permits.
