Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Harry Ransom Center is seeking a Building Manager to lead facilities operations of the Center's building and grounds, ensuring safe, efficient environments that support staff, visitors, collections, exhibitions, public programs, and special events.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and archival systems, manage projects and vendors, and coordinate with UT Facilities and security to maintain facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible facilities management experience in a complex setting.
• Experience managing building maintenance, systems, projects, contractors and vendors.
• Experience coordinating multiple priorities, work orders, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and serve as primary contact for facilities operations of the building and grounds.
• Plan, prioritize and manage preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems.
• Manage facilities projects, vendor coordination and compliance with university standards.
• Coordinate with UT Facilities Operations, BAS and security for continuous operations and preservation needs.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and support on-call rotations as needed.
