The Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of all facility infrastructure, building systems, and utilities supporting a manufacturing operation. This role leads capital and facility improvement projects, oversees electrical and HVAC systems, manages preventive and corrective facility maintenance programs, and ensures compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
The Facilities Manager partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, EHS, and external contractors to maintain uninterrupted facility operations while driving continuous improvement, energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and cost reduction initiatives.
Manage all facility infrastructure including electrical distribution systems, HVAC equipment, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, roofing, and building structures.
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Lead corrective facility maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues.
Oversee facility work order systems and maintenance performance metrics including PM compliance, MTTR, and equipment uptime.
Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices throughout the facility.
Lead facility-related capital and expense projects from concept through completion.
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, bid packages, and contractor requirements.
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Provide regular project status updates to plant leadership.
Support manufacturing expansion, equipment installation, facility modifications, and infrastructure upgrades.
Maintain and oversee facility electrical infrastructure including:
Coordinate electrical troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and company electrical safety standards.
Manage all HVAC systems supporting manufacturing, warehousing, offices, and critical production areas.
Optimize system performance to maintain environmental conditions, energy efficiency, and employee comfort.
Direct maintenance and repair of:
Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-reduction initiatives.
Select, evaluate, and manage contractors, consultants, and service providers.
Review contractor work plans and ensure compliance with safety and facility requirements.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance, costs, and service levels.
Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, EPA, local building codes, NFPA standards, and corporate policies.
Lead facility safety inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
Support emergency response planning and business continuity initiatives.
Participate in environmental and sustainability programs focused on energy reduction and resource conservation.
Develop and manage annual facilities budgets.
Forecast capital expenditures and facility improvement requirements.
Identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain asset inventories and lifecycle replacement plans.
Establish performance metrics and accountability for maintenance operations.
Implement continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
