Job summary

Uline, a family-owned distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials, is seeking a Facilities Manager to support our Lacey, WA warehouse, with 1 million square feet of facilities and a workplace that inspires productivity.

This on-site leadership role will guide maintenance, security, grounds and custodial teams, partner with branch and corporate leadership on policies and long-term planning, and manage budgets and projects for ongoing operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience; 5+ years in facilities preferred.
• Experience in plumbing, construction, fire protection, HVAC, electrical systems, data center, landscaping and CMMS.
• Evening and weekend projects and on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop facilities teams including maintenance, security, grounds and custodial.
• Collaborate with leadership on policies, planning and team development.
• Plan and oversee budgets, capex and projects.
• Inspect buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and oversee contracted services.

Pay from $100,000 to $150,000 per year

Position Responsibilities

• Manage and develop diverse Facilities teams including maintenance, security, grounds and custodial teams.
• Work with Corporate and Branch leadership on Facilities policies, procedures, long-term planning and team development.
• Accurately plan and oversee budgets, capital expenses and projects.
• Inspect buildings, sites and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and troubleshooting requests.
• Work with vendors and oversee execution of contracted services.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience. 5+ years of facilities experience preferred.
• Experienced in plumbing, construction, fire protection, HVAC, electrical systems, data center, landscaping and Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Occasional evening and weekend projects and on-call for emergencies.
