Job summary

ATG-Entertainment is seeking a Facilities Manager in Sugar Land, TX to supervise operations with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, plumbing, and commercial HVAC. You will oversee maintenance, safety, event staffing, and budget planning in a high-volume venue environment.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical systems, and building management, plus 4+ years in maintenance and 2+ years in supervision, in entertainment or hospitality settings.

Qualifications

  • Strong electrical and commercial HVAC experience with hands-on maintenance in large facilities.
  • Extensive repair and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, including controls and DX systems.
  • Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS) and reporting tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems maintenance across major facility components.
  • OSHA requirements and safety standards for facility maintenance and HVAC operations.
  • Experience in Entertainment, Convention Center or Hospitality environments preferred.
  • Minimum four years building maintenance experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role overseeing electrical and HVAC trades.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by specialized training in electrical systems and HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and operation of the facility with focus on electrical, plumbing, and commercial HVAC operations.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations; resolve complex system issues.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and reporting per City of Sugar Land agreement; manage HVAC/electrical asset tracking and lifecycle planning.
  • Coordinate setup of utilities for events; liaise with concessionaires; monitor contractors and capital projects focusing on electrical infrastructure and HVAC.
  • Assist in budgeting for Maintenance Engineering with emphasis on reliability and lifecycle replacement.
  • Maintain hazardous materials communication programs and SDS as required by regulations for electrical and HVAC operations.
  • Perform duties in a team-oriented environment emphasizing safety, service delivery, and operational excellence.

We are looking for a Facilities Manager

Location: Sugar Land, TX 77479

We are looking for a Facilities Manager [BH1] to supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of the Operations Department, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, plumbing, and commercial HVAC operations, including safety, security, and event staffing functions; to provide highly responsible staff assistance to the Director of Operations.

This role requires extensive hands-on oversight of commercial HVAC infrastructure, electrical systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, ensuring all building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Strong technical expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assume management responsibility for all activities involved in the maintenance and operation of the facility, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, plumbing systems and commercial HVAC operations, in addition to mechanical, and general maintenance.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations; meet with staff to identify and resolve complex electrical, plumbing and HVAC system issues; assign work activities, projects, and programs; monitor workflow; and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and reporting practices required by the Agreement with the City of Sugar Land, including effective management of all systems to optimize preventive and corrective maintenance programs, with emphasis on HVAC and electrical asset tracking, reliability, and performance management.
  • Oversee the setup of utility services for events; coordinate facility arrangements with concessionaires; and assist the Director of Operations in directing and monitoring contractors, engineers, and architects on capital projects, with emphasis on electrical infrastructure and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Participate in the development and administration of the Maintenance Engineering Department budget, including forecasting staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies with specific focus on electrical and HVAC system reliability, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle replacement needs; monitor expenditures and recommend approvals or adjustments.
  • Maintain hazardous materials communication programs, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and required permits, ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations related to electrical and HVAC operations and facility maintenance.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required in a team-oriented environment that promotes exceptional service delivery, safety, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on electrical and commercial HVAC system performance and reliability.
Qualifications
  • Strong electrical and commercial HVAC experience required, with demonstrated hands-on expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex building systems in large-scale facilities.
  • Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, including solid-state controls, chillers, VAV boxes, AHUs, fan coil units, and DX systems.
  • Proficiency in the operation of computer-based Building Management Systems (BMS), along with sufficient computer skills to effectively use standard office applications for reporting, maintenance tracking, and system diagnostics.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems maintenance and repair, along with experience maintaining major facility systems including plumbing, structural components, painting, grounds, and interior finishes in large, client-centered operations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and standards related to facility maintenance, electrical safety, and HVAC operations.
  • Experience in Entertainment, Convention Center or Hospitality environments is strongly preferred, particularly in high-volume, public-facing facilities requiring rapid response and operational reliability.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of building maintenance experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or lead capacity overseeing electrical and HVAC trades personnel.
  • Minimum education requirement of high school diploma or equivalent (12th grade), supplemented by specialized technical training in electrical systems, commercial HVAC operation, and building maintenance systems.
