Responsibilities

• Supervise UAW crane operators and skilled trades personnel while supporting daily operations.
• Serve as primary liaison between plant management, customers, vendors, and contractors.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage parts inventory, procurement, purchasing, forecasting, and vendor administration.
• Coordinate rail, trucking, material handling, and commodity shipment logistics.
• Track production, contract performance, operational metrics, and required reporting.
• Lead safety programs, conduct daily safety talks, and manage safety equipment needs.
• Prepare emergency work orders, breakdown investigations, executive summaries, and purchase requests.
• Direct facility improvement projects, oversee workforce timekeeping/PTO approvals, and provide 24/7 operational support.

FPT is a wholly owned business of Cleveland-Cliffs and has an immediate opportunity for a Facilities Manager.The Facilities Manager must be self-driven, follow instructions well, and be a team player. The Facilities Manager must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
