Job summary

Perimeter Solutions seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day operations within an electronics manufacturing environment. You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance while partnering with engineering and production teams to support new products and production scaling.

The role requires strong project management, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration across EHS, quality, IT, and operations to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency in facilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 6+ years of facilities or plant management experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day facilities operation in an electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, reliability, compliance, and production readiness.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing on product integration, new product introductions, scale-up, and production expansion.
  • Lead facility readiness for new equipment and lines, coordinating electrical, HVAC, utilities, and other infra needs.
  • Proactively anticipate facility requirements due to growth, new equipment, new products, or process changes.
  • Manage facility-related projects from concept to completion, including scope, quotes, contracting, scheduling, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project quotes and budgets, evaluate vendor proposals, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with budgets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

COMPLEXITY & PROBLEM SOLVING

Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Problems may be complex and are not clearly defined, requiring tactical and strategic direction. Implements policies and selects methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Drives the strategy and success of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization. This role translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution with a sense of urgency and accuracy. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

SCOPE OF MANAGEMENT & COLLABORATION

Frequently advises on moderately complex matters. Accountable for department budget which may be broad and have far reaching impact on the business segment. This role may also direct the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management. Acts as a lead to develop new methods and solve complex matters in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing operations. Accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the day-to-day facilities operation of an electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring the facility, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing support systems are safe, reliable, compliant, and capable of meeting production requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing on product integration, new product introductions, manufacturing scale-up, product line development, and production expansion, ensuring facility infrastructure is ready to support new products and processes.
  • Lead facility readiness for new equipment and manufacturing lines, coordinating requirements for electrical power, compressed air, HVAC, cooling, ventilation, utilities, structural needs, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Proactively anticipate facility requirements associated with business growth, new equipment, new products, changes in production volume, and manufacturing process changes rather than reacting after requirements emerge.
  • Manage facility-related projects from concept through completion, including scope development, quoting, contractor selection, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Develop and manage project quotes and budgets, evaluating vendor proposals, comparing costs, establishing project estimates, tracking expenditures, and ensuring projects remain aligned with approved budgets.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by understanding the financial and operational impact of facility decisions and balancing safety, reliability, capacity, timing, and cost.
  • Establish, maintain, and report facilities metrics, providing leadership with visibility into facility performance, maintenance, project status, costs, utilities, safety actions, and other key operational indicators.
  • Maintain working knowledge of OSHA requirements and ensure facility activities, contractors, and projects are conducted in accordance with applicable safety requirements. OSHA-30 certification is strongly preferred.
  • Partner closely with EHS and the Safety Committee to identify hazards, address corrective actions, support inspections and audits, improve safety practices, and maintain a proactive safety culture.
  • Collaborate with EHS experts and internal stakeholders on facility-related environmental, health, safety, emergency preparedness, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and maintain ITAR facility requirements, including appropriate physical access, contractor controls, restricted areas, escort procedures, and facility practice necessary to protect controlled information and operations while vendors / contractors are on site.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers, including scope development, quoting, contract/service expectations, safety compliance, scheduling, performance, and cost management.
  • Coordinate facility modifications and equipment installations with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, IT, EHS, and external contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact to manufacturing.
  • Monitor facility operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities, including utilities, maintenance, contracted services, repairs, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in facility reliability, safety, cost efficiency, energy usage, project execution, and responsiveness to manufacturing needs.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams, providing clear updates on facility performance, project progress, risks, budget status, and recommendations
REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect facilities decisions to production, cost, capacity, schedule, and business objectives.
  • Proficiency with quoting and budgeting, including evaluating vendor quotes, developing project estimates, managing budgets, and tracking actual versus planned spending.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
  • Experience partnering with EHS and Safety teams and actively contributing to safety initiatives. Responsible for Safety Committee activity, audits, meeting minutes and execution.
  • Strong metrics and reporting capabilities with the ability to establish meaningful KPIs and use data to drive decisions.
  • Highly proactive mindset—able to identify infrastructure needs and risks before they impact production.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Engineering, Manufacturing, EHS, Quality, IT, Finance, and Operations.
  • Hands-on understanding of manufacturing infrastructure, including electrical, compressed air, HVAC, utilities, equipment hook-ups, ESD and FOD environments, and facility modifications as needed with manufacturing.
  • ITAR facility/security experience or the ability to quickly develop proficiency with ITAR-related physical facility requirements, including holding visitors and vendors accountable to visitor requirements as needed for facilities operations.
  • Ensure that the facility complies with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and local regulations.
  • Lead or support audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 6+ years of facilities or plant management experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of building systems and manufacturing equipment.
