Job summary

Storey Lake Club in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping of the entire facility. You will manage contracts, oversee equipment, and implement department policies to ensure quality service.

The role includes interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, and maintaining guest satisfaction in a hospitality-driven environment. A valid driver’s license and relevant licenses are required.

Qualifications

  • AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Valid driver’s license and other applicable mechanical licenses (Boiler, HVAC, etc.).
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.

Responsibilities

Storey Lake Club, located in Kissimmee, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Facilities Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs repairs and maintenance, and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility.
  • Manages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facility and grounds.
  • Oversees the operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facility.
  • Coordinates exterior property cleaning and maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Implements policies and procedures for the Building Maintenance and Facilities Department, including compliance with all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Monitors business volume forecasts and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
  • Manages department members that may include, but are not limited to: Assistant Maintenance Technicians, cleaners, laundry facilities, and housepersons.
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate; develops ongoing training programs for the department.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Conducts staff meetings with subordinates.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree preference in diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, or small engines.
  • Valid driver\'s license and other applicable mechanical and equipment licenses (Boiler, HVAC, etc.).
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English).

Working Conditions:

Frequently uses hands

Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls

Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; may push or pull up to 100 pounds

Normally works near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, fumes, and/or airborne particles

Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions

Noise level is moderate

Ability to work weekends and holidays required
