Job summary

Clarios at Winston-Salem Assembly Plant is seeking a Facilities Maintenance and Projects Manager. You will oversee the facility maintenance program, coordinate with operations, and manage contractors to ensure reliable plant utilities and site services.

Requires a BSc/BA in a relevant field and a minimum of five years in industrial settings plus five years in project management, with HVAC, electromechanical, controls and hydraulic systems experience; strong teamwork and on-site leadership are

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, implement and manage the facility maintenance program focusing on planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and coordination for facility maintenance excluding production equipment.
  • Handle construction/plant design and engineering calculations.
  • Directly communicate with operations to coordinate facility maintenance repairs.
  • Track and improve facility maintenance metrics such as asset utilization and maintenance costs.
  • Monitor facility equipment to minimize downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop a preventive maintenance program and use Maximo to track work orders and history.
  • Manage capital projects, quotes, timelines, resources and reporting.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to define scope for facilities and utilities projects.

What you will do

You will manage the facility maintenance and projects to improve facilities and utilities fortheWinston Salem Plant. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that the facility is operating as it should, this may include dealing with emergency issues, training outside contractors on site rules, and working with all functional area leaders to achieve optimal outcomes.

How you will do it
  • Initiate, implement, and manage the facility maintenance program with anemphasis on planning, scheduling, and preventative/predictive/productive maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and coordination for facility maintenance-related items.Coordinate all building and site maintenance excluding production equipment maintenance.
  • Construction/plant design & engineering calculations.
  • Communicatedirectlywithoperationstocoordinatefacility maintenancerepairs.
  • Track, analyze, and improve the key facility maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule adherence, etc.
  • Monitor operations of facility equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems promptly, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop apreventative maintenance program for the facility equipment. You will use acomputerizedmaintenancemanagementsystem (Maximo) to track work orders, spare parts, and facility equipment maintenance history.
  • Manage capital projects – for new utilities, refurbishment, and construction. Manage assigned projects, quotes from outside contractors, propose solutions, timeline, resources, and reporting.
  • Interact with plant management to understand and define thescope of proposed capital projects for facilities and utilities.
What we look for
Required
  • Bachelor'sdegree, preferably in BSc/BA in facility management, engineering (civil or mechanical), business administration, electrical engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum5yearsofindustrialexperience.
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience.
  • HVAC, Electromechanical, controls, and Hydraulic Systems Experience.

Preferred.

  • 2yearsconcurrent supervisoryexperience in managing/supervising technicians or contractors.
  • OSHA/EPA experience desirable.

Winston-Salem - Assembly Plant

Our Winston-Salem, North Carolina assembly plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications. We opened our facility in 1978 and now employ more than 500 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through food drives for Second Harvest Food Bank and toy drives for Brenner Children’s Hospital.
