Job summary

Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to help maintain safe, functional healthcare environments across our campuses.

You’ll oversee maintenance, life-safety systems, and day-to-day facility needs, working with staff and vendors to keep buildings reliable and welcoming. This full-time onsite role requires leadership of facilities teams, budget monitoring, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction, facilities management, or related field.
• Five or more years of experience in facilities management or construction.
• Familiarity with project management and healthcare facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Lead renovations, construction, and life-safety projects as needed.
• Prepare and monitor budgets and work orders.

In this role, you’ll help oversee facility maintenance, construction projects, life safety systems, and day-to-day facility needs across Valley-Wide. If you’re a strong problem-solver, enjoy working with people and vendors, and take pride in keeping facilities running smoothly, we’d love to have you join our team.What You’ll Do:Facilities Operations & MaintenanceDevelop and monitor repairs and maintenance of facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds throughout the organization.Ensure utilities, environmental systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and life safety systems are functioning properly and meeting applicable requirements.Provide updates on maintenance and repair work through completion.Work in the field as needed on maintenance, construction, renovation, and other physical plant projects.Maintain service records for rooftop equipment, air supply units, and other outsourced maintenance services.Maintain vehicle service records and ensure scheduled maintenance is completed.Projects & Work OrdersAssist with various facility renovation, construction, and improvement projects.Assist with reviewing, prioritizing, and approving work orders based on organizational needs.Assist with the approval process for facility-related expenditures.Assist with preparing, revising, reviewing, and monitoring project budgets and estimates.Respond to facility-related emergency situations in coordination with the Director of Facilities.Team Leadership & SupervisionProvide supervision and leadership to Facilities staff, including selection, training, and performance evaluation.Conduct staff meetings and support activities that promote communication, teamwork, and employee morale.Provide guidance and support to staff while serving as a positive role model.Promptly and professionally address employee concerns, complaints, and issues.Provide periodic updates to the Director of Facilities regarding facility operations, projects, and staff.Safety, Security & ComplianceSupport the organization's efforts to maintain safe and compliant facilities.Ensure facility systems and maintenance practices follow applicable regulations, organizational policies, and safety standards.Maintain key records and issue keys to staff supervisors as needed in accordance with Valley-Wide policy.Support the ongoing maintenance and functionality of environments that promote safe, high-quality healthcare delivery.Collaboration & Customer ServiceMaintain positive and professional working relationships with employees, contractors, vendors, and other internal and external partners.Communicate effectively regarding facility needs, project updates, and operational concerns.Demonstrate flexibility and self-motivation while responding to changing organizational and facility needs.What We’re Looking For:Required QualificationsAssociate degree in a related field or equivalent experience, such as construction management or facilities management.Five or more years of experience in a similar position or within the construction industry.Knowledge of or experience with project management.Understanding of how physical facilities and environments impact the delivery of quality healthcare.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.Demonstrated flexibility, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.Positive attitude and ability to serve as a role model for staff.Location & type of job: This is a full-time onsite position.
