Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a Traveling Bench Director to oversee facilities management across multiple sites in the US. You will plan, organize, and control department activities while traveling to facilities until a permanent Director is in place.

The role requires leadership in hospital engineering, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance, with ongoing travel to facilities nationwide. Strong collaboration with staff and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years hospital engineering maintenance at Director or Assistant Director level.
• Experience in hospital project and construction management preferred.
• Working knowledge of Joint Commission, NFPA and healthcare regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures
• Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to facility’s standards and regulations using computerized programs for preventive and corrective maintenance, construction projects, financial management, and energy controls
• Prepares and manages departmental budgets, including the utilities energy savings program
• Manages and ensures regulatory compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory agencies
• Provides guidance, training and motivation to staff
• Successfully provides effective client rapport
• Monitors work performance and prepare performance evaluations for personnel

Job Summary

Working as a Facilities Management Bench Director, you are responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling functions and activities of department. Working as a Bench Director, you will travel to different facilities across the US filling in until a permanent Director can be identified for that location.
