Ventura County Community College District in Camarillo is seeking a full-time Transportation and Facilities Assistant to drive a district vehicle, deliver goods, and perform general maintenance duties across facilities, utilities, and equipment.

The role includes shipping, receiving, stocking of supplies, warehouse organization, and inventory control to ensure safe, timely deliveries and adherence to district procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and two years of related maintenance, warehouse and delivery experience.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Ability to operate and maintain District vehicles and general maintenance tasks.

Responsabilités

• Drive a District vehicle to pick up and deliver goods; load truck and ensure deliveries meet specs.
• Perform general and semi-skilled maintenance of facilities, utilities, grounds and equipment; assist with electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting tasks.
• Ship, receive, store and issue District supplies; ensure timely deliveries and proper inventory handling.
• Receive and inspect shipments; report discrepancies to vendors; tag equipment for inventory.
• Shelve and store items; design warehouse layouts; maintain safe, clean storage areas.
• Process requisitions; prepare items for delivery; unload/issue stock; handle damaged items for returns.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and related tools; use office equipment as needed; coordinate vehicle & equipment maintenance.
