The role includes repairing walls, doors, lights, and equipment; coordinating with nursing staff; assisting in terminal cleaning; and performing routine maintenance and preventive tasks. Weekend/on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or maintenance roles.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Clean driving record required for transportation duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and removing trash.
• Moves furniture to complete assignments.
• Coordinates daily maintenance with nursing staff in resident areas.
• Assists in terminal cleaning of resident rooms on transfer, discharge, or death.
• Follows supervisor schedules and maintenance policies.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
• Cares for grounds and exterior areas; replaces bulbs, ensures machinery operates properly.
• Drives the facility van to transport residents to appointments; adheres to safety rules.
• May handle on-call duties, including weekends and holidays.
• Executes unscheduled or emergency maintenance tasks as directed.
