Barre Gardens for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Barre, VT is seeking a Laundry Assistant to maintain clean resident linens and clothing and support facility cleanliness. You will operate laundry equipment, fold and distribute laundry, and help with basic housekeeping tasks in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment, ensuring timely delivery of fresh supplies to resident rooms.

Experience in laundry, housekeeping, or related work is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain organization.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Place soiled facility and resident linens into washing machines following proper laundry procedures.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fold or hang clean resident personal linens and clothing.
• Transport and distribute clean linens to resident rooms in a timely manner.
• Hang clothing in closets and place personal items neatly in drawers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Follow facility infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with additional housekeeping or laundry tasks as needed.
