Job summary

Archdiocese of New Orleans seeks a motivated maintenance worker to keep parish facilities, equipment, and campus safe, clean and functional. You will work independently or with a maintenance coworker.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventative maintenance, minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC, custodial duties, event setups, and availability for after-hours emergencies as directed by the Pastor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificates (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) desirable but not required.
• Experience in residential or commercial maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; ability to read blueprints/manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspections: Walkthrough buildings and equipment to identify hazards.
• Preventative maintenance: Replace filters, clean HVAC systems, gutters and roof drains.
• General repairs: Minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC fixes.
• Custodial: Clean and maintain all campus buildings.
• Setups: Prepare spaces for ministries and events.
• Availability: Weekdays, every other weekend evenings, and special events.
