Job summary

Ivory Plains Recovery Center is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to safeguard and repair the facility and its equipment. You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years’ experience in maintenance or facility operations.
• Knowledge of standard and safe maintenance practices; ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Licensure/certification in electrical, plumbing or HVAC preferred.
• Valid state drivers license (if required).
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification may be required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine maintenance and repair on facilities and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical repairs, painting, signage, etc.).
• Keep general plant and facilities in good repair and safe condition.
• Complete work orders and hazard reports promptly; report safety hazards immediately.
• Store and manage maintenance supplies; follow preventative maintenance schedules.
• Inspect/employ emergency power equipment; test generators weekly; maintain fire alarm systems and extinguishers; monitor lighting.
• Assist with parking lot, landscaping, and room setup for meetings; on-call and weekend coverage as needed.
• Coordinate with external contractors and assist with client transports if requested.
