Job summary

Presque Isle Downs, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance professional to perform broad maintenance and repairs across our facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, cooling, and related tasks. The role covers safety compliance, tool operation, and hands-on upkeep of building systems.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a technical degree/apprenticeship. Gaming license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus two to four years of relevant work experience; OR
• A satisfactory combination of work experience and education
• Technical degree or apprenticeship program preferred
• Working knowledge of the skilled trades and related safety codes
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out special projects with Facilities Management
• Perform maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and vehicle servicing
• Operate and maintain hand/power tools and equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, circular saw, drills)
• Respond to daily work order requests across maintenance areas
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to resolve issues promptly
• Install or repair parts, appliances, machinery, or equipment
• Perform landscaping and groundskeeping tasks including snow removal
• Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and wood structures
• Maintain and repair refrigeration, boiler, and HVAC systems
• Ensure inventory, supplies, and equipment are stored properly
• Use PPE and follow safety regulations including OSHA
• Perform other related duties as assigned
