Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform general facilities maintenance, lighting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and related tasks. On-call weekends/holidays and potential disasters response are required.

Requires high school or equivalent (preferred), 3 years multi-trade experience, ability to operate computer software, and valid driver's license. Shift between 7:00 am-7:00 pm with 16-24 hours weekly; orientation week required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred).
• Three years of multi-trade experience in commercial equipment repair, with a concentration in one specialized area.
• Ability to operate a computer and use computer software (Required).
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair lighting, doors, patches, tiles, furniture, and wall fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document issues with action plans.
• Coordinate with contractors and procure parts and services.
• Operate carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and support on-call rotations.
• Maintain TV, Pneumatic Tube, Medical Gas, and Nurse Call systems; update software.
