Job summary

The Village at Germantown, Inc. seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform general and preventative maintenance on building structures and equipment within a senior living community.

You will handle repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting, conduct scheduled checks, respond to emergencies, complete work orders promptly, and participate in on-call rotations while ensuring a safe, neat and well‑functioning environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of technical school preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and assigned work in a timely manner.
• Keeps maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly at all times.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
• Performs maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.
• Conducts scheduled maintenance checks throughout the facility which may include assisting inspectors and contractors in the inspection, testing, and repair of various equipment, building/mechanical systems and structures.
• Responds to all emergencies such as fire, smoke, panic alarms, flooding, etc.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Participates in a rotating on-call weekend shift as assigned.
• Is on-call for all disaster emergencies such as snow, ice storms, fire, tornados, and floods.
• Performs duties as requested or assigned by management.
• Regular and punctual in attendance.
