Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment across our facilities, including corporate, distribution, and manufacturing sites. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous learning as you work with high-tech equipment and state-of-the-art systems.

Candidates should have strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience with material handling systems.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as an equipment mechanic in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Proficiency with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of material handling systems and process equipment.
Knowledge of three-phase motors and wiring; experience programming and installing electronics and controls.

Responsibilities

Repair and troubleshoot production equipment in facilities, for both emergency and non-emergency situations.
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Work effectively with a team, assisting other personnel to ensure tasks are completed safely and timely.
Maintain open communication with team members and supervisors.
Adhere to food and human safety guidelines and Wegmans’ quality standards.
