Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, office furniture assembly, and HVAC troubleshooting. The technician repairs, installs, and removes equipment at company facilities and will travel daily between locations within the assigned campus.

Responsibilities:

• Support facilities maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, furniture assembly, minor electrical work, fabrication, and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Operate independently on assigned jobs, providing solutions.
• Research repair methods and collaborate with team members.
• Document work order comments and time entries.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience or military equivalent.
• Ability to diagnose and solve basic plumbing, electrical, and equipment issues.
• Proficiency in measurements, including fractions.
• Reliable transportation for travel between facilities.
• Skillful use of power and hand tools.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication.
• Good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HVAC troubleshooting.
• Machine repair experience.
• Skilled in operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
