Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local store team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart facilities, equipment, and fixtures, under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and a valid driver’s license. Excellent teamwork and adherence to maintenance schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or Technical certification preferred for related trades (plumbing, electrical, material handling, etc.).
• 1 year experience in one of the following trades, or 2 years total work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment).
• Use the work order system to receive and document repair work.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.
