Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain stores, equipment, and fixtures, under the local General Maintenance Manager. You will perform routine preventive and reactive maintenance using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling skills to keep facilities safe and appealing.

Candidates must be 18+, have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and endure varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can move ladders and work at heights; sit or stand for long periods.
• Must maintain an excellent driving record.
• Vocational certification or 1 year in one of the listed trades or 2 years total experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Use work orders to receive and document reactive repairs for Stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment safely.
