Job summary

AWARE is hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The role focuses on constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures in group homes and corporate buildings, with travel to Montana communities as needed.

Compensation is $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, with a benefits package as described below. Applicants should have five years of maintenance experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Montana driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have considerable knowledge of general maintenance practices.
• Must be able to problem-solve, repair, and generate cost-effective solutions.
• Good communication skills, ability to work independently, and interact with various staff.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures of wood, plywood, and wallboard per local building codes.
• Repairs and maintains physical structures of group homes and corporate buildings; electrical switches, fixtures, painting, drywall repairs, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Keeps grounds well-kept, including lawn care, planting, raking leaves, and snow removal.
• Performs monthly safety inspections and maintains health and safety records for compliance.
