Job summary

Polytainers Inc. is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician II to support the safe, reliable operation of our facilities’ building systems and utilities.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, and help improve equipment reliability in a large manufacturing environment. The role focuses on facilities and utility systems (not production equipment) and requires hands-on troubleshooting, safety compliance, and collaboration

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 3–7 years of industrial facilities or maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and diagrams.
• Experience with three-phase electrical systems, motors, VFDs, pumps, and rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facility and utility equipment.
• Maintain electrical systems including 480V three-phase power, motors, VFDs, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, piping, and HVAC-related components.
• Troubleshoot and maintain major utility systems (BAS, chilled water, cooling towers, boilers, steam).
• Support building automation systems and facility controls.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and equipment history.
• Coordinate with contractors for facility improvements and projects.
• Identify spare parts and inventory needs.
• Mentor less-experienced technicians and ensure safety procedures are followed.
