Job summary

Ohio Attorney General’s Office is seeking a dedicated maintenance worker for our United States facilities. The role covers plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, painting and groundskeeping, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, and permanent full-time status.

You will perform skilled and semi-skilled repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and support building operations to ensure safe, functional spaces for staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction and in reading, writing and speaking common English vocabulary
• 6 months training or 6 months experience in maintenance repair work (e.g., basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair and use of associated hand and power tools and equipment).

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, minor installation and repair of plumbing equipment (e.g., water and steam lines, sewer pipes, trap fittings, plumbing fixtures, pumps, regulators, valves, faucets, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, heating and air conditioning, piping, drinking fountains).
• Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, minor installation and repair of electrical equipment (e.g., light fixtures, electrical outlets, switches, motors, appliances, electrical circuits, emergency generator, fire alarms, intercoms, autoclaves, incubators, meters, fans, radios, televisions, meters).
• Performs carpentry work involving skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, alteration and/or repair to buildings, equipment and wooden structures (e.g., doors, windows, walls, woodwork, floors, partitions, stairways, furniture, door closers).
