Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking a Skilled Craft Worker II to perform semi-skilled maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and related trades at the Georgia Center.

You will follow established schedules, work rotating shifts, and participate in on-call coverage. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience. This full-time role offers benefits and a starting date around November 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and perform basic carpentry and HVAC maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork with facilities management and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, door hardware, and carpentry.
• Inspect and evaluate building utilities and equipment to determine repairs.
• Document all work orders in Visual One and provide completion details.
• Coordinate with OUA, FMD, GC Facilities Management for repairs beyond capability.
