Job summary

Dallas College’s Facilities Management Department seeks a Facilities Maintenance Service Technician to perform skilled maintenance across campus facilities. The role supports maintenance of approximately 5,000,000 sq.ft. and 1400 acres, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliable operations.

Position requires reading blueprints, multi-trade capability, and strong organizational skills. On-site work with potential hybrid option after six months based on policy and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Understanding of mechanical operations, grounds keeping and facility operations.
• Reading blueprints and schematics; ability to read technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
• Assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical tasks.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals for repairs.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade maintenance operations.
• Ensure safety and compliance with MSDS and safety procedures.
