The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Facilities Technician I to join our Housing Department!
This is an in-person position with a $1,000 sign-on bonus available!
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to tenant work requests in apartments.
- Perform repairs to electrical fixtures, light fixtures, switches, and receptacles.
- Repair appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and disposals.
- Install new appliances and dispose of old ones.
- Perform plumbing repairs, including sinks, faucets, toilets, and water lines.
- Maintain heat tapes, gutters, and repair roofs to prevent leaks.
- Repair building heating systems and apartment heaters.
- Maintain exterior lighting for buildings and parking lots.
- Perform interior and exterior painting, drywall installation, repairs, and texturing.
- Perform framing and finish carpentry, install doors, windows, and trim.
- Assist with apartment turnover maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintain and clean laundry rooms and common areas.
- Requisition and manage maintenance and janitorial supplies.
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain small engines and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, heating, plumbing, and repair work.
- Understanding of cleaning methods, materials, and building equipment.
- Awareness of safety hazards and precautions.
- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring full body movement.
- Leadership skills to organize and guide seasonal workers.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to follow instructions and establish effective relationships.

Position Range: $26.37—$34.28 USD
Hiring Range: $26.37—$30.32 USD
