Job summary

RTR is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Worker in Marshfield, MA to assist the Facility Maintenance Operations Director and AVP with maintenance of RTR properties, including safety, compliance, and reliable building performance.

You will perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and landscaping tasks, repair building components, drive company vehicles, deliver and swap equipment, move furniture, and support event setup while upholding RTR safety standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work independently and flexibly with others.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a calm, collegial and assertive manner with people from all walks of life.
• Basic computer skills.
• Maintain a Valid Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building repairs as directed.
• Comply with town, state, fire and safety codes.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and landscape tasks.
• Drive company vehicles including, box truck, vans and pull trailer.
• Deliver, swap and transport vehicles.
• Move furniture.
• Maintain safety and access/egress of buildings (snow/ice removal, etc.).
• Prepare for company meetings, events and fundraisers.
• Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Adhere to agency safety standards.
• Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
• Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
• Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.
