Job summary

Chicago Family Health Center is seeking a maintenance professional to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and functioning properly. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs across systems to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of maintenance experience. You will work Monday–Friday with a Saturday rotation, and benefits are provided for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a system of regularly scheduled maintenance actions to prevent failure of facility systems.
• Prioritize the repairs and maintenance received daily from the work order system.
• Daily inspected walk through of site for facilities in sound and functional condition in each department.
• Perform equipment maintenance on a schedule (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual).
• Address breakdown repairs and minor repairs as they arise and report major problems to supervisor.
• Identify deterioration or potential failures and report recommendations to supervisor.
• Report preventive maintenance needs beyond capability for contract repair or replacement.
• Transport supplies and equipment between sites.
