Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician in La Junta, CO to keep store facilities, equipment and fixtures safe and functional. You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other trades under supervision, following maintenance schedules and documenting repairs in the work order system.

The role requires an 18+ year old candidate with a HS diploma or technical certification, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass MVR.
• Vocational/Technical certification or 1 year in trades, or 2 years total experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple crafts.
• Use work orders to receive repairs and document activities for Stores and associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate tools safely.
