Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support and maintain the facility infrastructure across multiple Georgia locations, including Thomasville.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adaptability as assignments rotate. Responsibilities include inspections, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems; coordinating with vendors; managing tools and inventory; and maintaining accurate work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in building/facilities maintenance (industrial or commercial preferred).
• Working knowledge in HVAC, welding, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and climb.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
• Occasional availability outside of normal business hours to respond to after-hours emergencies or business-critical issues.
• Can work independently.
• Ability to read, write, and have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs across multiple property locations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot facility/infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Partner with leadership on facility improvements, installations, and upgrades, coordinating with external vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintain warehouses, tools, and equipment inventory, ensuring all assets remain secure, organized, and in optimal working condition.
• Prioritize and resolve maintenance requests while ensuring all work orders, labor hours, and parts used are accurately documented.
• Maintain flexibility to work modified or extended shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on project demands and/or emergency repairs.
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment.
