Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local store team in Batavia, IL. You will perform routine maintenance to keep facilities, equipment, and fixtures safe, functional, and well presented, under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.

This full‑time role requires multi‑trade skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment maintenance), the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and tolerate various temperatures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or trades certification in plumbing, electrical, or related field preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Utilize work order system to document repair activities and respond to emergencies.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Adhere to safety training and operate tools safely.
