Job summary

The West Virginia Lottery Division seeks personnel for the WV Lottery - Traditional Security division at the Charleston headquarters. The role involves skilled and semiskilled work in mechanical or building trades to maintain state facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical tasks, and general repairs.

Responsibilities include repairing walls, floors, lighting, pipes, and masonry; operating tools and equipment; and performing routine grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building maintenance or as a helper in a building trade.
• Specific positions may require EPA certified technician status for refrigerant recycling under Clean Air Act.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements of walls, floors, tables, chairs and other wooden items using hand and power tools.
• Repair and replace lighting fixtures, wiring and basic electrical components; assist in installing electrical equipment.
• Repair and replace sinks, toilets, faucets, pipes and water lines; unstop toilets and drains; clean grease traps.
• Perform masonry repairs and replace damaged masonry; paint large areas of a building.
• Move furniture and equipment; perform routine building service tasks such as sweeping, mopping and cleaning surfaces.
• Perform general grounds work including mowing, snow removal, power washing and litter pickup.
