Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Groveport/Columbus, OH. The role involves routine inspection and repair of building systems, preventive maintenance, and support of automation equipment in a high-volume distribution setting.

You will work with a team to keep facilities safe, compliant, and reliable, handling electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems while documenting activities and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in maintenance environment preferred.
• Safety-first approach to operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment and systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generator and mechanical).
• Diagnose and repair faulty equipment using diagnostic tools and replace parts as needed.
• Participate in facility improvement projects and safety programs.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to transport parts.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs and inspections.
• Assist with real-time troubleshooting of automation and conveyance technology issues.
• Coordinate ongoing training to enhance maintenance skills and knowledge.
