Armstrong Mold Corp in East Syracuse, NY, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician on first shift to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair across indoor/outdoor facilities. You will handle lighting, plumbing, painting, and general upkeep while supporting safety and documentable inspections.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and 1–3 years of building maintenance experience. A NY drivers license and basic tool handling are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of full-time experience in general building construction, cleaning, or repair work.
• Valid New York State driver’s license; own transportation to multiple East Syracuse locations.
• Able to handle equipment such as floor cleaning machines and basic hand tools.
• Able to understand simple oral and written directions and interpret work orders.
• Possesses a valid license and acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-skilled building maintenance and repair (ballasts, light bulbs, toilets, patching sheetrock, basic painting).
• Performs manual labor related to building and grounds maintenance and repair.
• Paints surfaces, installs baseboard edging, applies floor coatings, basic framing and plumbing tasks.
• Power washes exterior areas and removes snow/ice during winter.
• Assists in grounds maintenance and weed control.
• Performs routine facility inspections and documents maintenance activities.
• Notifies management of deficiencies and repair needs.
• Stocks and maintains supply rooms and follows safety policies.
