Job summary

CBRE is looking for a Maintenance Technician to service small to mid-size facilities, industrial systems, and equipment. The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and support for building systems.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostics, and modifications to equipment, with adherence to safety codes. Strong communication and basic office software skills are required for smooth operation and completing work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use defined procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange information clearly.
