Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Seattle, WA to ensure safe and reliable client facilities. You will perform lighting, electrical, plumbing, and locksmith tasks, supporting the operations team to keep spaces functional and welcoming for occupants.

The role requires several years of building repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Strong English communication and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to rekey doors and cut new keys for buildings in the assigned area.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 30 ft.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary, with good vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Must complete background and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts, rekey doors, and cut keys while maintaining accurate key records.
• Assist the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
• Handle minor plumbing repairs and complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested by clients or the operations team.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
• Respond effectively to emergencies, comply with safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
