Hampton Roads Transit seeks a dynamic facilities maintenance worker to support building and equipment upkeep in the Hampton Roads area. With supervision, you will perform tasks across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, ensuring safety and environmental compliance while supporting everyday operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic mechanical skills with tools.
• Minimum 2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and staff.

Responsabilités

• Perform skilled and unskilled maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain facilities equipment and infrastructure.
• Maintain records per Hampton Roads Transit policy.
• Assist with safety compliance and environmental procedures.
• Drive and operate required equipment as needed.
