Job description

Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (LME)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Base Rate: $38.00 + $42.00

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on building infrastructure and equipment.
  • Handle basic facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, building, roofing, water systems, and grounds; perform janitorial duties.
  • Assist licensed electricians and perform repairs on electrical systems.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems; inspect fire and safety systems.
  • Train and provide feedback to peers; monitor certification requirements.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness; report hazards and respond to emergencies.
  • Use Maintenance Management Software for documentation.
  • Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide professional customer service.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of relevant experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Forklift and personnel lift licenses or ability to obtain them.
  • HVAC and LME licenses preferred.
  • Qualified in Lockout procedures.
  • Knowledge of servo systems, feedback systems, mechanical repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, Spot).
  • Experience with hanging Unistrut in rafters.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex electro-mechanical problems independently.
  • Effective communication skills; proficiency in basic math and computer skills.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE, stand or sit for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds with assistance, and have manual dexterity and visual acuity.
