Commercial and Industrial Facilities Maintenance
We are hiring an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the building systems, utilities, and equipment that support a manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position. The ideal candidate has experience working on HVAC systems, plumbing, compressed air, water systems, building equipment, and general facility repairs.
Candidates must be comfortable handling a wide variety of maintenance responsibilities rather than specializing in only one trade.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install facility systems
- Diagnose problems with new and existing building equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems and machinery
- Maintain HVAC and climate-control systems
- Clean and inspect HVAC equipment
- Maintain production and facility water systems
- Monitor and treat water systems with required chemicals
- Maintain cooling towers and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain air compressors
- Maintain conveyors and facility machinery
- Repair air-conditioning units
- Install new machinery using blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions
- Perform equipment calibration and system verification
- Recommend replacement equipment and facility improvements
- Submit purchase requests for parts, materials, and equipment
- Ensure fire protection and emergency systems are working properly
- Inspect and repair standard and emergency lighting
- Inspect roofs, gutters, and drains for damage or blockage
- Restore and repair office equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance documentation
- Keep maintenance areas, walkways, and aisles clean and organized
General Maintenance Responsibilities

Snow and Grounds Maintenance
- Prepare parking lots before winter weather
- Shovel sidewalks and entryways
- Operate snow blowers
- Operate snowplow equipment
- Maintain exterior grounds as needed
- Inspect outdoor facility systems and drainage areas
Must-Have Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three to five years of commercial or industrial facilities maintenance experience
- Valid DOT Health Card
- Experience maintaining HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems
- Preventive maintenance experience
- Ability to diagnose and repair facility equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work orders
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Ability to respond to emergency facility calls outside normal working hours
