Job summary

Amcor is seeking a maintenance technician in Monroeville, OH to maintain building and production support equipment and service systems such as water, air, and gas lines for production equipment.

You will assist with molding and printing machine support equipment, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, pumps and pneumatic handling. Safe operation and adherence to Amcor Life Saving Rules are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Trade/Technical certification in electrical or mechanical fields is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Install water, air and natural gas service for production equipment.
  • Assist in maintenance of molding and printing machine support equipment, air compressors, air dryers, cooling towers, chillers, process water pumps and pneumatic handling systems.
  • Operate man lifts up to 70 ft and use fork trucks or cranes as needed.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and health rules including Amcor Life Saving Rules.
  • Work safely and keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PURPOSE:

Maintain building and production support equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES And AUTHORITY
  • Install water, air and natural gas service for production equipment.
  • Assist in maintenance of molding and printing machine support equipment, air compressors, air dryers, cooling towers, chillers, process water pumps and material pneumatic handling system.
  • Operate man lifts and work overhead at heights up to 70 ft. Operate fork truck and overhead crane as needed.
  • Maintain and follow all company safety, environmental and health requirements, including Amcor Life Saving Rules.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Maintain equipment to keep it in proper and safe operating order.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • High School or equivalent diploma.
  • Trade School, Technical, Electrical, Mechanical certificate or degree is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and with others.
  • Able to accept responsibility for work performed.
  • Capability to carry out duties as assigned.
