Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other departments and report to the Administrator as required.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair facility or resident property and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.
• Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, and closets for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys and develop corrections for deficiencies.
• Ensure safe and clean environment and report equipment damage promptly.
